I originally got an F in high school Spanish.
Then I studied abroad and lived in a dorm with lots of Spanish people.
I dedicated myself 100% to Spanish that semester.
It wasn't easy for me. I was never a good student.
After that I traveled around Spain and Latin America for a few years.
Studying, practicing, talking.
I totally fell in love with Spanish--and now I want you to love it too!
But I know you'll only love Spanish if you understand it.
If it doesn't confuse you. If it's fun.
That's why I make these Spanish videos!
Before I make any video I ask myself:
1) Why was this confusing to me before I understood it.
2) How is taught incorrectly?
3) What would have been the best way to teach me?
Then I make the video!
I hope you like them. I hope they help you.
I hope you love Spanish after watching them.
Or at least, feel smarter =)
Hasta luego!

You should have a million subs. Your teaching method is so approachable!
Blew my ear drums out with that intro man. Edit: ditto the outro
Thank you!
Why wouldn’t you use the gerund form of the verb instead for “I was working”.
Hola Jordan, you should be the chief advisor of Spanish Authority.
Nice. I think I can just keep it as 'become/became' in my head to get all of those meanings. You're awesome.
That helped so much. I get it now. Thanks greatly!
What gamer dies this guy look like????
Bro I’m never gonna pass Spanish 😭
So could you say “Yo quedo (present not reflexive) sorprendido por su comportamiento”?
I don’t know why I can’t understand this 😭
I'll never stop saying it. You cut through all the BS and get the point in such a helpful way! Thank you.
Very long intro, skip to 3 mins. However, this was very helpful. Thank you
The constant absence of gaps between speaking in this video reminds me hiccups
I am having trouble differentiating between the imperfect and the preterite when referring to specific time periods and what constitutes talking about the specific actions that defined the period versus describing the period itself. I have an example in my book that states that even if a past tense verb is being used to describe what use to happen, emotions, what was being done etc if it refers to a specific period of time you use the preterite, ex: Los soldados fueron muy agresivos durante el tiempo que duró la batalla. it is describing their actions but since it has the period of "during the battle" it is preterite. But then I had an example that seems to break that rule and it is breaking my head: "Durante la primera guerra mundial, los Imperios Centrales. que ERAN Alemania, Austria-Hungaría, y después el Imperio Otomano, se enfrentaron a la Triple Entente, que ESTABA integrada por Francia, Rusia, y el Reino Unido". Why is it eran and estaba when we are describing these during a specific time period and not fueron and estuve?
Are you still making videos? It's been nine months. :( I hope all is well.
OMG I am crying laughing both from how funny it was and also tears of relief. I can't believe how easily people understood you!! This brings me such joy and takes the pressure off. I'm not a perfectionist in my normal life, except when it comes to learning a language and I hate it! This video helps me so much!
you ate this video tf up
I love you
I do like your content.. but think it is hilarious hearing the robot accent to keep it neutral.
Holy moly! This video was so clear and concise. Consulting a textbook used to be my method, but your short videos simplify things so well. I just found my new Spanish tutor, you! Thank you for providing this free resource to us English speakers who struggle with learning Spanish. There's a special place in heaven for teachers like you
bro my teacher has been talking all this time emphasizing when she say USED or WAS following by an action to help us understand imperfect. I THOUGHT SHE WAS JUST YAPPING
In northern New Mexico recordar means to wake someone up
I had worked¿
I think this is closed down. I paid for a lifetime membership two years ago but cannot get into the site. Can't log in. No response from support "team". Have any lifetime members been able to login?
Thank you, I finally understand because of this video. Now I just gotta get better at indirect object pronouns. 😅
Muy Gracias Maestro❤
I don't see the link to the practice worksheet for Direct and Indirect Object Pronouns. Am I overlooking it?
I know many people dislike the lisp but what I like about it is that it makes sense to pronounce c and s differently since they are also written differently.
Huh what’s unusual about it🤔 I mean if they’d put whipped cream ok we can talk again, but mayo?! C’mon
I guess don't knock it until you try it, but I'm struggling with this mayo thing...
Your explanations have helped me so much
Al
Ur lole the favourite ex that ppl always go back to bc every time i go to another channel and try to understand i understand nothing and i come back to u 😂
Great examples. This video is is helping me get my head around using indefinido amd imperfecto- it certainly doesn’t help that each of these tenses has several different names! So I like to use INDEFINADO and IMPERFECTO to avoid confusion myself. Muchas gracias 🙏
Whos here in 2024?
Are we just ignoring the innuendo?🤦♂️🤷♂️🤣
This helped me so much Gracias
Well that was clear as mud. I'm going to have to watch this video over and over 20more times. Good explanation just complicated subject.
Spanish 2 final tomorrow and this is so clutch
I appreciate the stalling for 4 minutes, great job!
That's the thing, they never correct you ! Imagine how much faster you'd learn if they corrected you on the spot. I know I am speaking incorrectly 75% of the time, but native speakers never stop and correct me.
Thank you for lesson ❤
I love how you break these down.
Super handy!! Thanks for explaining it so clearly.
Thank you amigo
This guy is EPIC
I am motivated!!!! I HAVE tried other things! I have a Guatemalan girlfriend for christs sake! But I am overwhelmed!
Spanish dude what happened to you? I just started watching your videos and you haven’t uploaded recently?!
SOOOOOOOO GRATEFUL for your hilarious, relatable, and very helpful video teachings. They have really helped me. I teach Spanish to elementary children. I am studying to take the infamous Spanish Praxis in Kansas. Most people fail it the first and possibly second time!
